In the Pro’s we move up a gear and introduce more competitive experience as well as honing all the foundation skills. We introduce attacking concepts, appreciation of space and get children used to playing different roles and positions.
We will be predominantly outside where the elements allow and preparation for friendly games arranged with other clubs and festivals will be a key element of the schedule.
Increasing links with FA programs and organized leagues will be a theme as we prepare our children for developing their game into their teenage years.
There will remain a focus on small sided games, developing fun trick skills to excite and grab the imagination of our budding superstars. Small sided games that are focused on both emphasizing the practice of individual skills learned and training exercises to promote general team play and positioning.
The liberal use of the Futsball in exercises and Futsbal games help to re-enforce close control, close teamwork and passing. Themes from the Spanish passing, the Brazilian attacking rhythm and the Dutch tricks remain a strong part of the program. A strong sense of teamwork, building great confidence and reliability on each other is a natural progression for the Pro’s.
The kids are now developing more physical attributes as well as learning how to behave in a sporting context with respect to other players and officials. Team spirit, camaraderie grows as they go through their competitive learning experience. Learning to help each other as much as learning new skills is a good foundation for later years and life in bigger schools and their teenage years ahead.
