What Happens at a Gala Sports Party?Gala sports is a unique birthday party experience which will involve a selection of exciting and often unplayed set of activities from across the globe. These parties can include:
Scooter Hockey: Traditional hockey but played in a very unique way. Children will each be seated on a small square scooter which will slide across the room as they play. Can they use the small head of the hockey stick to outscore their opponents?
Soft Polo: Children will each have a Soft Polo stick. The aim of the game is to hit the bouncy ball in the middle into the oppositions goal. With the Soft Polo stick being round shaped and unpredictable the children will have endless fun in this crazy sport.
Hungry Hippos: Each team will have a small scooter and a basket. One at a time they will have to slide their teammate into the action and collect as many balls as possible before returning to base. The team that collect the most will be the winning team in this crazy real life take on the popular board game
Medicine Man: This child friendly version of Dodgeball is great for all ages. With the saviour being the “medicine man/girl” they will have the chance to bring tagged players back into the action and keep their team alive while trying to tag the other teams players with the soft balls themselves.
Curling: An indoor take on the popular winter sport, ice is not necessary as the teams will tactically try and hit the opposition’s stones away from the centre target to try and be the wining team. Will you go for raw power or will you use your head to calculate the best shots?
Time Bomb: The giant Bomb “Medicine Ball” will start in the middle of the room. From your base can you use the soft balls to send the bomb into another team’s area? A very crazy and active game with very little in the way of tactics! Lots of fun for all ages!
Quidditch: Based on the popular sport seen in the Harry Potter stories children will soar around on their broomsticks to try and score points in a handball type game. But watch out for the snitch! Who will catch it first and claim the points?
Scatterball: Scatterball is a mix of Tennis and Rounders. Teams of children will bat or field and attempt to make it around the bases before the fielders can collect all of the balls that have been hit, kicked or thrown into the distance. A very speedy and active game which is great for friendly competition
