World Champion And Former Olympic Medalist Colin Jackson Joins Sport4Kids

World Champion hurdler and one of the most naturally gifted athletes in history Colin Jackson CBE has joined Sport4Kids (S4K) as their International Director and Brand Ambassador.

Colin will hold special responsibilities for developing the S4K brand and help the mission to transform children’s sport across the UK and international markets through the company’s franchise network.

Colin still holds two world records for indoor hurdles, and established the world record mark of 13.91 back in 1993, which then stood for 13 years and remains the longest held 110m hurdle record ever.

Following his retirement in 2003 he has followed a TV career, sports advisor, coach, mentor and commentator for the BBC. In addition to his commentator duties on the BBC including the up and coming Olympics, he is Director of Red Bulls World Run, simultaneously held across 34 countries, a brand ambassador for Puma and mentors a number of the world class athletes including Usain Bolt.

CEO Steve Jones said, “It is an honour to welcome Colin to the S4K family as we feel he is someone who truly represents Sport4Kids values and ethics. We dare to dream for our children and Colin will now be able to share his experience and passion, helping all of our children to also dare to dream.”

Colin added: “I am so pleased to be joining Sport4Kids. The passion and commitment of the S4K team has blown me away. The products not only match their passion for children and sport but from my experience, S4K are not matched for quality anywhere here in the UK or abroad. There is something special going on here, and I’m joining at the right time. I’m glad to lend my backing, commitment and experience to the cause. S4K is both an inspirational brand but also aspirational for all those that come across it. The S4K Way is a revolution in children’s sports and we aim to help all children get the best out of their playing time. I would like to call on all parents to join us on our mission.”

Colin’s role is to champion the continued development of The 'S4K Way' to keep Sport4Kids ahead of the market with innovative children’s sports programmes. Colin will also use his considerable experience and sporting contacts to accelerate the expansion of the Sport4Kids franchise network across the UK and internationally.
