Whether opening services in a new school, or simply starting a new term in an existing one, there are a number of operational factors to consider in order to manage the account efficiently.
The Operations for School & Nurseries workbook acts as a handy checklist for ensuring all factors have been covered when commencing a service line.
It includes important information such as days, timings, duration, age groups etc. This is all important information for setting up booking forms, staffing ratios etc.
It also ensures that school contracts (SLA’s) are also completed in a timely fashion, this is vital for locking-in terms of the partnership, including notice periods.
It will also give an indication as to whether the service has marketing material created and distributed, whether if it’s been Ofsted registered if applicable, and ensuring any school paid services are being invoiced promptly.
KO Notes are designed to get a full overview of the school’s logistics BEFORE a service commences. Please reference the document, but this is everything from gate-codes to school behaviour policies. This is all critical information to ensure our staff know what they’re doing. There is a session specific KO notes coming soon.
The role of the SAM (School Account Manager), is pivotal in providing the day-to-day care of the school contract. This person (a trusted senior coach, similar to a VM role), will be responsible for the checklist document attached.
This is the basic management of passing on session information, minor school requests, organising assemblies, ensuring standards of the coaching team within that school etc.
