Kids Golf Classes & Club
S4K Albatrosses kids golf classes for 6-8 years olds further develops our player’s golfing skill set, introducing more skilled techniques and shots. The ultimate end goal of this Player Pathway is to prepare your child to gain a certified handicap.
Our Albatrosses enjoy a mix of fun games mini golf set ups. We design golf holes and play mini competitions in different playing formats, introducing match play, foursomes and fourball. This will provide your child with the confidence to play and score these formats at their golf club with older of more experienced players as they look to becoming full junior members.
Club and shot selection are reinforced with fun target games and challenges and we will begin to introduce different swing techniques for different shots. As confidence grows we will introduce more challenging set ups, bad lies, objects to play around to improve their overall game in any situation and understand how much course management plays a role in scoring.
Course etiquette is continually introduced, building our golfer’s knowledge of what to do and what not to do in a whole range of situations so they can play on full golf courses and with other members with confidence.
At the end of this Player Pathway we aim to have your child ready to gain a certified handicap and ready to begin playing Junior Competitions and Tournaments.
S4K Albatrosses is for children from 6 to 8 years and is the fourth progression level after our S4K Eagles class. In our S4K Albatrosses class, we want children to continue to have fun and for some they may want to get on a golf course, however for those that do not, we continue to build on previous skills but executing more complex challenges.
Within the weekly sessions children will develop link shots areas such as putting, chip and putt, pitch and putting, full shot and putting.
Competition elements will allow our six hole golf competitions which has a range of different elements and children can have their own handicap, games such as Bingo Bango Bongo with Bobby the Baboon and Stableford Course with Seiko the Snail.
Concepts around playing on a golf course will enable children to play on the tee, on the fairway, on and around the green and each shot linked to length, direction and height.
