S4K Strikers and Academy will take to the pitch on Sunday 19th March to battle it out for S4K’s latest silverware.
The football tournament will take place at Salesian School in Chertsey between 14:15-17:15pm, and will see S4K Strikers and Academy come together from our various venues across Berkshire and Surrey.
Our elite coaches will be out in force in Chertsey, to ensure that win or lose, children participating in the tournament have a fabulous time and go home with second-to-none experience under their belt. At Sport4Kids we encourage sportsmanship from an early age, and work to build children’s confidence through the ‘S4K Way’ – and the tournament is just another demonstration of this.
The Strikers tournament will include the ‘foot on top’ rule during games, and will see our coaches deliver ‘live’ coaching as well as refereeing the game. More so, to ensure confidence is not dented, coaches will get involved to support Strikers teams that are losing by two goals. As a rule, through coach participation, no team in the Strikers tournament will win a match by more than a two-goal margin.
The tournament is designed to provide children with an introduction to controlled pressure competition, and though we can’t promise they’ll win the tournament – we can guarantee that they’ll leave with a shiny S4K medal around their necks. Something that we’re sure will be paraded across school playgrounds the following day.
Our last competition was a sell out, with the St Johns Beaumont team winning the Strikers competition, and team Surbiton victorious at Academy level.
