Last Sunday we held a very successful inter-venue event at Strodes College. This saw us pit together Under 7’s teams from Maidenhead, Langley, Windsor, Frimley and Royal Holloway. The event was our first step into creating a more competitive learning and training footballing environment for our young players, inline with our new values outlined by S4K Director of Football Simon Clark.
Simon told us; “Inter-venue matches and events like today will really help give a purpose to the players training. With great numbers and engagement from players and parents means we will certainly do more, including a Berkshire representative team to play at elite levels. It’s really important for the players to get an experience of competitive football and have a great time as well. I would like to thank all the parents on the sidelines for their support creating a great atmosphere for the players – it really helps!”
Look out for more inter-venue matches coming soon, as we continue to speed up the development process of our academy players and teams!
