What is S4K Dance?

S4K Dance is a blend of street and hip hop dance styles that we call “street-fusion”. A high energy and high octane experience for toddlers through to teens! We develop our children’s mini and micro motor skills, using the Montessori teaching method and the best practices from child psychology and children’s learning. Each class has a dedicated curriculum and Practice@Home book so that you can help your child to develop their skill level outside of the class.

S4K Toddlers (18 months to 3 years):

We begin building mini motor skills here and the basic movements that allow children to develop world-class skills and move to music. Using stories, children’s pop music and lots of fun props, S4K Toddlers is an imaginative hub of learning! More info…

We advance our children’s skills here, learning more complex moves and routines of dance to music. Putting on a performance for proud parents each week and learning to dance independently while having lots of fun. More info…

We continue to teach dance skills and routines, while encouraging our dancers to contribute ideas to their performances. Children begin taking part in dance tournaments and challenges. More info…

How much do S4K classes cost?

Our classes cost £40.95 per month. This payment plan allows parents to be in control of their payments and know exactly when they have paid up until. There is a £25 membership fee when joining Sport4Kids, which will include full dance kit and access to the S4K APP where you can track your child’s progress!

Are S4K sessions held indoors or outdoors?

All of our S4K Dance classes are held inside due to the need for a specific type of flooring.

Are your coaches qualified?

Sport4Kids coaches are truly special. It takes 4 months and 24 examinations to move past the trainee level of coach. Coaches graduate through our Coaching Development Pathway, which involves technical coaching, child behaviour management, child psychology and safeguarding. All coaches are DBS checked and extremely passionate about what they do too!

Does S4K classes stop for school holidays?

Our classes do not stop for half-term or the summer holidays so we are always on hand to entertain your children. As a rule, it is generally safe to assume that we are operating. We will of course communicate with you if there are any planned or last minute changes.

S4K Dance Gradings & Assessments

We track the progress of our S4K Dancers through our Practice@Home books, which contain a list of all of the skills that our children will develop at each of our age groups. Once children reach the S4K Breakers and S4K Academy age groups, we begin formal S4K gradings, where children learn a specific dance style and theme for six weeks before having an assessment by our S4K Coaches. Children are awarded a bronze, silver or gold level and progress to the next routine!

S4K Dance Competitions

Our S4K Dance Competition provides our S4K Dance Academies with their first introduction to performance. Our Academies perform the moves and routines that they have learned in our classes while cheered on by family and friends in the audience in a carefully crafted introduction to competition.

S4K Holiday & Activity Camp

The S4K Camp is like no other holiday and activity camp. We operate from 8-6pm during school half terms and holiday periods and offer a wide range of activities. From football to rugby, tennis to golf, Nerf to bouncy castle and dance to disco diamond cricket, every child is guaranteed to leave with a big smile.
